    “The open enrollment period for retirees on Medicare and Medicare Supplement plans such as BCBS Medex and Harvard Pilgrim Medicare Enhance is mid-October through early December, for an effective enrollment date of January 1st.  If you are interested in making any changes, just have general questions, are turning 65 within the next year, or thinking of retiring in the next year, this benefit fair is a great time for you to explore your options and get your questions answered.”

    The Personnel Board interprets the Personnel By-Law for the Town of Edgartown personnel.  Town of Edgartown is an equal employment opportunity provider.

The Board evaluates and classifies positions and a review of all positions in the classification plan is done at appropriate intervals.  The Personnel Board provides advice and assistance to department heads, supervisory personnel and employees on all aspects of personnel Management.
Benefits are under the Personnel office and include health, dental and eye insurance as well as some voluntary options. The office maintains a centralized personnel record keeping system. 
Open positions are advertised in local papers and are posted on the town bulletin board and the Personnel bulletin board.
